In today’s episode, I discuss topics regarding substance abuse treatment centers from the staff and client’s perspective. I get into the initial documentation that is required for a client to be in substance abuse treatment. I also get into procedures regarding inventory and bag checks. I give my personal viewpoint on the initial intake procedures and what can be done to improve it. I express my perspective on high-intensity treatment and the process to transition a client to the medium level intensity and what is required by the substance abuse counselor and the client to make those transitions to a lower level of care.
